- The pathology lab is a multifaceted facility that focuses on biomarkers in human clinical cancer trials. You will acquire skills necessary to accurately and correctly analyze histology studies in a pathology laboratory, interprethistology and immunostaining data, image digital pathology slides, and the use of image analysis software. This research is used to determine treatment effects between control arms and treatment groups via novel biomarkers (blood and tissue tests) in at least six human cancer clinical trials and in many cancer preclinical mouse model studies.
- Internship Duties:
- You will learn both gross and microscopic pathology skills, general histology of all organs and tissues, how to read and analyze histology studies, interpret histology and immunostaining data, image digital pathology slides, and use image analysis software. You will learn about human cancer clinical trials via novel biomarkers (blood and tissue tests) in at least six human cancer clinical trials and in many cancer preclinical mouse model studies.
