- Summary:
- Design and test the next generation of patient-centered technologies to connect and improve the outcomes of cancer survivors. Our team has developed the prototype of an electronic health record controlled by patients (personal health record) to provide interactive information about their cancer treatment, potential side effects, community resources, as well as communication tools to connect and share messages with their cancer care providers and other survivors. We will be recruiting cancer survivors to collect data about the impact of the personal health record upon their health outcomes. Data collection will include short-term usability information and long-term outcomes gathered after they return home to use the online tool.
- Internship Duties:
- Duties will include (but not limited to): Patient recruiting, interviewing patients, data collection, data coding, and preparing study materials. With the right skills, prototype redesign and usability testing also possible. Finally, be ready to join a dynamic and collaborative research team!
